Welcome to
Simple Bread Co.
Located 10 minutes West of Monett, Mo.

At Simple Bread Co., we believe great bread starts with simple, honest ingredients. With years of experience in perfecting the art of sourdough, we combine just three fundamental elements—flour, water, and salt—with time and care to create a range of loaves that nourish both the body and the soul. Each loaf is hand-crafted with intention, honoring tradition while adding a unique twist. From our rustic country sourdough to our indulgent vanilla brown sugar chocolate chip creation, we aim to bring you the kind of bread that feels like home.
We don’t cut corners, but soon, we’ll be offering a slicing option so you can enjoy your loaf conveniently for sandwiches or toasting, while keeping its fresh-baked charm.
Meet the Baker
Hi, I’m Amanda, the heart behind Simple Bread Co. My love for baking started in my own kitchen, fueled by the joy of creating something wholesome for my family. Over the years, I’ve honed my craft and turned it into this small but mighty bakery. My mission is to bring you bread that’s not just delicious but made with love and care, just like I do for my own family.
Our Signature Breads
At Simple Bread Co., we believe in the power of simple ingredients and timeless flavors. Our four signature loaves are baked fresh year-round, each one crafted with care and a commitment to quality. Simply delicious, and always available.

Classic Sourdough
Baked to perfection, it delivers a light, airy crumb with a delightful depth of taste, making it the quintessential sourdough experience. Ideal for sandwiches, toasts, or simply enjoyed on its own.

Cheddar Dream
A savory delight with a rich, cheesy twist. Infused with sharp cheddar cheese, it boasts a golden crust and a tender, tangy crumb that perfectly complements the bold flavor of the cheese.

Chocolate Chip
A sweet twist on tradition. This loaf balances the warmth of vanilla and brown sugar with gooey chocolate chips—ideal for breakfast or a sweet indulgence.
Tips for Storing your Sourdough Bread
If you plan on eating your fresh loaf within 3 days:
- For a crispy crust, store in paper, reusable bread bag or cut side down on a cutting board with a towel laid over it.
- For a softer crust, store in a plastic bag.
If you don’t plan on eating it all within 3 days, I recommend slicing your bread, double bagging it and keeping it in the freeze. Simply pull out slices as you want them. Let them thaw on the counter or pop into your toaster. This is my preferred method for storing sourdough.
Have a whole frozen loaf and want to refresh it?
- Take the loaf out of the freezer and let it come to room temperature.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Run the thawed loaf under water and place in the oven directly on the rack.
- Bake for up to 10 minutes.
- When you pull it out it will be like a fresh baked loaf of bread with a crispy crust!
